I, The Lord of Sea and Sky – God Can Save the World – For All Who Believe

Sky, Light, Cloudy, Miracle, Dramatic, Beauty

Over the past few days, I have posted some illuminating thoughts about Buddhism, but moments ago, I clicked on Facebook and discovered that my friend had posted a beautiful song that is probably talking about the Abrahamic, Christian God. What if God was greater than our labels and our limitations, however? What if God truly was the sum of all of our most courageous and uplifting and hopeful dreams? I hope that He is and that He will not only save the USA but that He will save the entire world.

Anytime that I hear a fine Children’s Choir singing about their Hopes for survival, I am touched. We must all continue to Hope–and especially, for our children.

I, the Lord of sea and sky,
I have heard My people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin,
My hand will save.
I who made the stars of night,
I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear My light to them?
Whom shall I send?

Here I am Lord, It is I, Lord,
I have heard You calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if You lead me.
I will hold Your people in my heart.

I, the Lord of snow and rain,
I have borne my people’s pain.
I have wept for love of them,
they turn away.

I will break their hearts of stone,
Give them hearts for love alone,
I will speak my word to them,
Who shall I send?

Here I am Lord, It is I, Lord,
I have heard You calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if You lead me.
I will hold Your people in my heart.

I, the Lord of wind and flame,
I will tend the poor and lame.
I will set a feast for them,
my hand will save.

Finest bread I will provide,
Til their hearts be satisfied,
I will give my life to them,
Whom shall I send?

Here I am Lord, It is I, Lord,
I have heard You calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if You lead me.
I will hold Your people in my heart.
