1/4 c. butter
4 apples peeled and cored
1 onion, cut into matchstick-sized pieces
pinch cinnamon

Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat; cook and stir apples, onion, brown sugar, and cinnamon in the melted butter until onions are translucent and sauce is slightly reduced, 15 to 20 minutes. Cool before serving.

    1. Hey Christopher. I believe that his family may have been Pennsylvania Dutch. I am trying to find that out for use. The description of the barns and the farm and the family’s dialect makes me believe that.
